The British Amateur Boxing Association (BABA) has signed Lucozade Sport as its first official nutrition partner.
The deal comes as BABA attempts to galvanise interest in amateur boxing after the sport performed strongly at this year's European Championships.
As part of the three-year deal, Lucozade will work with GB Boxing’s nutritionist, Mark Ellison, to integrate its range of sport nutrition products into a performance programme.
Lucozade Sport sponsorship manager Stewart Crooks said: "Boxing is one of the fastest-growing sports in the UK and our range of sports nutrition products fits its performance needs perfectly."
Derek Mapp, BABA chairman, added: "Lucozade Sport’s decision to invest in a relationship with amateur boxing reflects the sport's position as one of GB’s best medal hopes for 2012."
