Organisers of the Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games have described the opening ceremony as the “best show on earth this year”.
More than 20 choreographers and 7,000 youth performers have been working on the ceremony, which will take place on August 14.
Education minister Ng Eng Hen said: "I'm very confident they will put up a spectacular show and the setting [Marina Bay Sands] couldn't be better. I think we are on track to wow the world, but we have to work very hard to achieve that.”
The opening ceremony will involve 4,000 students from 47 schools, supported by 200 teachers.
The 7,000 performers are involved in both the opening ceremony on August 14 and closing ceremony on August 26.
