The head of USA Basketball Jerry Colangelo has admitted he could be open to replacing Rod Thorn as president of the New Jersey Nets.
Nets owner Mikhail Prokhorov is thought to have been impressed with Colangelo's gold-medal showing at the Beijing Olympics, making the former Phoenix Suns and Arizona Diamondbacks owner the favourite to succeed Thorn, who is set to retire on July 15.
"If I did get a call, I'd certainly take the call," Colangelo said. "I still think I have some juice left. I don't need to do anything, and I'm not seeking anything, but if the right situation presented itself and met my criteria, I would listen."
