San Diego to host Fed Cup Final 02/07/2010 |

The United States Tennis Association (USTA) has chosen the San Diego Sports Arena to host the Fed Cup Final between the US and Italy in November.
San Diego was one of 10 cities bidding to stage the first Fed Cup Final in the US since 2000.
Mayor Jerry Sanders called it “a chance to showcase the vibrancy of this great city to the international community”.
The San Diego Sports Arena has never hosted Fed Cup matches, but it was the site of the 1989 Davis Cup quarter-final between the US and France.
