Arsenal’s board of directors has approved a major upgrade of the Club Level at Emirates Stadium in time for the 2010/11 season.

The Club Level is a premium tier of 7,000 seats at the ground which hosts many corporate hospitality guests.

From the start of the new season, Club Level visitors will be able to enjoy three luxurious restaurants, together with a new lounge and sports bar that Arsenal claims will “redefine hospitality standards in world football”.

The development is part of the process currently taking place at the Emirates called ‘Arsenalisation’, in which the club’s history is incorporated into the stadium.

Arsenal chief executive Ivan Gazidis said: “One of the club’s first unwritten mottos was ‘Forward’ and this remains a driving principle for the club today in our on- and off-pitch activities. When Emirates Stadium opened in 2006, it was the world’s most advanced sports stadium, and while it remains undoubtedly among the very best, we want to ensure that we continue to push forward and redefine bold new standards for our supporters and corporate visitors.

“The initial step in this process was to invest in the ‘Arsenalisation’ of the stadium cores and general admission levels. While we are continuing to develop these areas, we have also researched how we can improve our premium levels to better meet needs and expectations of the supporters and companies who use these facilities on a matchday.”

20|20 Strategic Design helped design and produce the new look for the Club Level.
