The Nigerian Football Association has removed its two top administrators in a bid to avoid a Fifa ban.
Nigeria’s president Goodluck Jonathan suspended the country from international competition after a disappointing World Cup, risking the wrath of Fifa, which does not allow “political interference” in football.
Now the FA has dismissed president Sani Lulu and vice-president Amanze Ugbulam in the hope that Jonathan will reconsider his decision.
