Racing UK has announced its support for special charity horserace, the Breast Cancer Care Pink Mile, at Chester on Friday (July 9).
To mark the first-ever pink horserace which is open only to fillies or mares and will see lady riders in specially designed pink racing silks Racing UK will donate £5 of every new subscription on Friday to Breast Cancer Care.
Commercial director of Racing UK Nick Mills said: The Pink Mile should provide quite a spectacle and marks the start of a fantastic couple of days on the channel. Friday is traditionally the best day for subscriptions and, given the quality and quantity of racing on the channel, we should be able to make a significant donation to Breast Cancer Care.
The race will also feature a pink winning post and pink saddle cloths, while racegoers are encouraged to wear the colour, which is synonymous with the charity.
