EA Sports has agreed a deal to become the Premier League's first sports technology partner.
The gaming giant’s on-screen branding will be shown during all live Premier League broadcasts, including coverage on Sky and ESPN, as well as overseas matches. The EA branding will be linked to match statistics when they appear on screen.
EA will also sponsor the Premier League's player performance index, replacing Actim as the league's player rating system.
In addition, it will publish a ‘Team of the Week’ on the Premier League's website.
“As the most watched domestic football competition in the world, the Barclays Premier League delivers tremendous global exposure and direct access to one of the most passionate football audiences in the world,” said Matt Bilbey, vice-president of football at EA Sports.
“Partnering with the Premier League further establishes EA Sports and its Fifa franchise as the ultimate, authentic football gaming experience."
