A mystery investor is understood to be close to sealing a takeover of Hartlepool United.
The Sunday Sun reports that a deal for the League One club could be announced this week.
It is believed the would-be new owners are currently based abroad, but have some background in football.
Hartlepool has been under the control of Aberdeen-based oil company IOR under chairman Ken Hodcroft for 13 years.
