The biggest stadium in Germany has gone cashless after installing payment solution AG’s justpay technology.

Borussia Dortmund’s iconic Signal Iduna Park will have the fully integrated cashless system for the beginning of the 2010/11 season.

Justpay made its debut at the Signal Iduna Park in the pre-season friendly between Borussia Dortmund and Manchester City this week.

AG’s chief operating officer Heinz-Peter Strömsdörfer said: “The installation of justpay at the Signal Iduna Park is a landmark project.

“Securing the biggest stadium in Germany is a huge step towards our vision of creating a nationwide payment system for the leisure and entertainment sector.

“Justpay stands for leading technology in cashless payment and is coupled with our operational and marketing expertise represented by payment solution.

“An increase in sales volume due to quicker service times and processing capability will reduce customer queuing time and enhance the stadium experience for all fans.

“Our benchmark for any new installation is a 20 per cent increase in turnover courtesy of the benefits associated with customer satisfaction and the marketing options that become available.”
