Saracens is poised to leave Vicarage Road at the end of next season after 13 years.
The rugby club is looking at as many as five grounds in London for the start of the 2011/12 season after Watford Football Club activated a break clause in its lease, which runs to June 2017.
Saracens, which has been based at Vicarage Road since 1998, is thought to be considering playing at two other football grounds, Queens Park Rangers' Loftus Road and Fulham's Craven Cottage, as well as weighing up a proposal from Watford to redevelop Vicarage Road, including the condemned East Stand.
As many as five London venues will be put before the Saracens board in September, according to the Daily Telegraph.
A permanent move to Wembley, where Saracens will play its Heineken Cup pool match against Leinster in October and a Premiership match against Wasps on Boxing Day, is not being considered, even though the club attracted average crowds of more than 40,000 for four games at the stadium last season.
"We have been looking for some time at our options because there is a break in our lease at Vicarage Road at the end of this season," Saracens chief executive Edward Griffiths said.
"We are still in discussion with Watford about development of Vicarage Road and that is still one of those options. But obviously our inquiries have moved on elsewhere and at the moment there are probably five viable options where the club could be successful from 2011/2012.
"Those options will be presented to the board in September and we will be looking to make a decision in October."
