UCI agrees Australian broadcast deal 19/08/2010

The International Cycling Union (UCI) has signed a new contract with SBS Corporation for television coverage of the UCI World Cups and World Championships for all four Olympic cycling disciplines.
The new agreement gives the Australian public television network exclusive broadcasting rights in Australia for a three-year period.
SBS will broadcast all UCI World Cup events (BMX, mountain bike, track cycling, road women) from 2010 to 2012; 2011 and 2012 UCI Road World Championships; 2010 and 2011 UCI Track Cycling World Championships; 2010, 2011 and 2012 UCI Mountain Bike and Trials World Championships; and 2010, 2011 and 2012 BMX World Championships.
A UCI statement said: “The UCI welcomes this new partnership, which is proof of the importance that SBS places in the sport of cycling.”
