O2 has signed up as the inaugural sponsor of the first-ever regular season National Basketball Association (NBA) games to take place in Europe.
The New Jersey Nets and Toronto Raptors will play back-to-back games in London on March 4 and 5, 2011, at The O2 arena.
And the telecoms company has been announced as the first promotional partner for the matches, as well as the NBA’s Europe Live pre-season games.
O2 customers will have the opportunity to win tickets and exclusive NBA experiences for both events as part of the deal.
“With regular NBA season games coming to the UK for the first time, The O2 is cementing its position as a premier venue for some of the biggest and best live sporting events,” said Shadi Halliwell, head of brand communications at O2.
“To mark this, we’re not only giving our customers priority access to the hottest tickets in town, but also giving them the chance to benefit from some great NBA experiences, including meet and greets with legends, signed merchandise and lots more.”
