The England Handball Association (EHA) has appointed the Manchester office of Weber Shandwick as the sporting association’s PR provider.
The agreement will see Weber Shandwick’s Manchester-based sports team work with the EHA in a bid to increase levels of participation in the fast-growing Olympic sport.
EHA performance director Mick Hegarty said: “This is a very exciting partnership for England Handball and we are delighted to have the support and professional expertise that Weber Shandwick brings.
“We feel we have a great sport to promote, and have a proven track record of growing participation levels in schools. Bringing Weber Shandwick North on board boosts our chances of achieving our goal, which is to become the number one legacy sport of the 2012 Olympics.”
