ESPN STAR Sports has announced its first sponsorship deal on its recently launched online sports programming service ESPN Player.
Mercedes-Benz Singapore has partnered with Asia’s biggest sports content provider for the upcoming Singapore Grand Prix this weekend.
It will enjoy dedicated exposure on ESPN Player’s online broadcast of the Singapore Grand Prix. In addition, Mercedes-Benz Singapore will reach out to sport fans across Asia through online ads on www.espnstar.com.
Charles Less, ESPN STAR Sports senior vice-president of advertising and digital media sales, said: “We’re excited to have Mercedes-Benz Singapore onboard as the sponsor of ESPN Player’s broadcast of what many consider to be the most exciting race in the F1 calendar.
“This is a classic example of a well-executed marketing solution on a cutting-edge online platform that is customised for a client in terms of content relevance and presentation. With all eyes on the Singapore Grand Prix this week, engaging the viewer remains top priority.
“We’re confident that F1 viewers will develop a strong connection with the Mercedes brand as F1 fans will get to experience a full weekend’s race coverage on ESPN Player anywhere in Singapore and then re-live the whole race on-demand, enabling Mercedes to reach out to race fans for extended viewing periods as the F1 viewership moves to a climax this weekend.”
