The Renault Formula 1 team has announced a four-race sponsorship deal with Russian vodka brand Flagman.
It is the third deal the team has signed with a Russian company since employing Russian driver Vitaly Petrov at the start of this season. Lada cars and Vyborg Shipyard also have sponsorship deals with Renault.
"We have worked hard this year to develop new relationships in Russia, and we are pleased to see this effort bearing fruit," said team chairman Gerard Lopez.
"However, the cornerstone of any successful commercial strategy is a successful driver, and the potential Vitaly has shown during his rookie season has done much of the talking for us."
Petrov, the first Russian Formula 1 driver, has scored 19 points from his 15 races compared to Polish team mate Robert Kubica's 114.
The team has said the Russian must show he can score consistently before it commits to keeping him on for 2011.
