The European Tour has raised the number of tournaments golfers must play for full membership for the second consecutive year.
The tour’s tournament committee this week announced that players will have to participate in 13 events next season to be considered a full member. The number was raised to 12 from 11 for the 2010 season.
Full members are eligible to win the Race to Dubai, the European Tour’s season-long money list, as well as the tour’s player of the year award. They are also eligible to qualify for the Ryder Cup through the European points list.
