GBI Racing, which distributes British and Irish racing to betting outlets around the world, has signed a four-year deal with Sky Racing which will result in more than 600 UK and Irish race meetings per year being shown in Australia.
Sky Racing broadcasts over 72,000 races per year through its three channels (Sky Racing1, Sky Racing2 and Sky Racing World) in Australia and was previously showing about 400 UK and Irish meetings per year.
GBI Racing chairman Richard Brooke said: "Australia is a key market for GBI Racing and the enhanced deal with Sky is a major boost for the sport. This will mean increased coverage, better scheduling and long-term stability."
