Eurosport 2 has signed an agreement with Lega Pallavolo Serie A to broadcast the 2010/11 season of the Italian men's volleyball league.
It is the first time the men’s league will have featured on the channel, though it has covered the women’s Italian volleyball league since 2008.
Julien Bergeaud, director of broadcasting for Eurosport and Eurosport 2, said: "We are delighted to partner with Lega Pallavolo Serie A and add this exceptional competition to Eurosport 2's premium programming offer.
“This deal demonstrates Eurosport 2’s determination to constantly enhance the channel’s rights portfolio which includes premium team sports and competitions such as Bundesliga, Basketball Eurocup and Handball Champions League."
