Blackburn Rovers' prospective new owners are considering selling the naming rights to its Ewood Park stadium.
Indian company Venky's is set to complete a deal to take over the club in the next month and has admitted that renaming its ground is a possibility.
Venky's chairman Anuradha J Desai said: "We will do the best by the fans and also by the club – it is very important to continue the traditions of the club.
"We are going to be good responsible owners and we want to make the club stronger.
"There are a lot of marketing plans but nothing is certain yet. One of the things we are considering is sponsorship of Ewood Park but no decision has been made."
Blackburn has been run by the Jack Walker Trust since the death of its former benefactor 10 years ago.
It was put up for sale in 2008 by the trust but Venky's, which is short for Venkateshwara Hatcheries Group, was the first interested party to satisfy all the requirements.
