Euro 2012 co-host Ukraine is hoping a successful tournament will boost its chances of being awarded either the Champions League or Europa League final in the near future.
Deputy prime minister Boris Kolesnikov, who is overseeing Ukraine's preparations for the European Championship, said his country will bid to hold Uefa's club competitions in 2013.
Of Ukraine's four host cities, Kiev or Donetsk would most likely be proposed in its application to Uefa next year.
