Haya appoints Briton as No2 at FEI 09/11/2010 |

Princess Haya, who has been re-elected as president of the Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI), has appointed Britain's John McEwen as her deputy.
McEwen, the director of sports science for the British Equestrian Federation (BEF), was unanimously voted in to support Haya in running the world governing body of horse sport.
He replaces Sweden's Sven Holmberg as first vice-president. Holmberg had served under Haya since 2006 but had stood unsuccessfully against her in the recent election.
Pablo Mayorga from Argentina was elected second vice-president, replacing New Zealand's Chris Hodson who stated last month that he would not stay on if Haya was re-elected.
McEwen has been vet to the British show jumping team since 1978, and to the British dressage team since 1983.
