Russian investors are reportedly keen to buy into the Virgin Formula 1 team.
Germany's Auto Motor und Sport claims that the potential investors come from the Russian automotive world.
Virgin is already sponsored by Marussia, the first Russian supercar maker. The brand is headed by Nikolai Fomenko, a racing driver and presenter of the Russian version of television car show Top Gear.
He said last month that he plans to bring Marussia on to the grid in 2012, adding: "The F1 project is a leading edge for the marketing of a supercar."
