New women’s tennis world No1 Caroline Wozniacki has been elected to the WTA Player Council, replacing the outgoing Patty Schnyder.
The full council consists of Wozniacki, Venus Williams, Serena Williams, Francesca Schiavone, Akgul Amanmuradova and Bethanie Mattek-Sands.
