The Football Association is understood to be in advanced talks with Vauxhall about replacing Nationwide as the England team sponsor.
The car company has been in discussions with the FA for several weeks, according to the Daily Mail, but an agreement has not yet been reached over the price, with the FA thought to be demanding at least £5m a year, which is what Nationwide was paying.
An added complication is the FA's four-year car supply deal with Fiat, which only started last February, reports the newspaper. That conflict would have to be resolved before any deal with Vauxhall could be signed.
