Santander has signed up as the official bank of the 2011 Copa America.
The Spanish financial giant has sponsored South America’s Champions League equivalent, the Copa Libertadores, since 2007.
Santander marketing director Juan Manuel Cendoya said of the Copa America deal: "This competition is, without doubt, the perfect complement to our sponsorship of Latin America football, as much for the participating nations as for the audience around the world.”
The 2011 Copa America is scheduled for July 2-24 in Argentina.
