World Cup 1998 organising committee chief executive Jacques Lambert is to take on a new role helping Uefa organise the 2016 European Championships in France.
Lambert will leave the French Football Federation (FFF), where he has served five years as a director, to join the organisers.
The move reunites him with Uefa president Michel Platini, who chaired the France World Cup organising committee.
