Andy Gray’s endorsement deal with Betfair could be under threat after he was sacked by Sky Sports for "unacceptable and offensive behaviour".
Gray had his contract terminated this week after footage appeared of him making a suggestive comment to a female colleague. He had already been warned about his conduct following comments about a female assistant referee.
Gray appears in Betfair advertising campaigns and the company had initially vowed to stand by him in the wake of the assistant referee furore.
A Betfair spokesman said: "Betfair doesn't tolerate sexism, and we expect others who represent our brand to share similar values. We've expressed our disappointment to Andy Gray's representatives about the comments that have been reported in the media over the last 48 hours. At present we have no plans to change the way we work with Andy."
However, following his sacking, Betfair said: "In light of the latest developments, we are reviewing the situation."
