Harlequins Rugby League chairman David Hughes insists he would have no problem relocating the London club if it meant it owned the stadium.
Hughes told BBC London 94.9: "One day we'd like to have our own stadium."
Since starting life as Fulham in 1980, the club has been based at seven different venues around the capital.
When asked if he was worried about moving location yet again, Hughes replied: "Absolutely not – particularly if it's for our own stadium."
The club currently ground shares with Harlequins Rugby Union at the Twickenham Stoop, and it will remain there for the next licence period if its application is successful.
"That's our stadium for the three years," Hughes said.
"It's very difficult to find a location in London, where you have the council co-operation, the loans, the finance – it's not easy. The RFL are looking for us as well, because it's got to work for them as well, so nothing is fixed at the moment.
"However, it is very important to have somewhere to call your own and build on that."
