Online broker TD Ameritrade has signed a two-year deal to sponsor the US Olympic team for the 2012 Games in London.
The deal marks the first-ever United States Olympic Committee (USOC) sponsor in the online broker category as well as the first collaboration with NBC, which will receive a commitment for a certain level of media buys from TD Ameritrade. NBC will broadcast the 2012 Olympics.
TD Ameritrade, the USOC's 25th sponsor, operates one of the largest online brokerages in the world. It is 45 per cent-owned by Canada's Toronto Dominion Bank.
