Qantas Holidays has signed up as the official travel partner of the Perth 2011 ISAF Sailing World Championships in December.
More than 6,000 visitors are expected to travel to Perth for the championships which are being held between December 3 and 18.
Travellers will be able to book accommodation, flights and membership packages through Qantas Holidays. In addition, Qantas Holidays is also the only wholesaler able to offer Qantas frequent flyer points with combined air and land packages.
Perth 2011 chief operating officer Darren Beazley welcomed the participation of Qantas Holidays as a benefit to the teams, officials and visitors coming to Perth for the biggest international sailing event of the year.
He said: "Qantas Holidays will help raise awareness of our exciting John Bertrand, Gold Medal and Crew Clubs, which give members a range of access and other privileges during the event."
Simon Bernardi, group general manager for the Jetset Travelworld Group, added: “The partnership with Perth 2011 provides Qantas Holidays with the opportunity to showcase a world-class sporting event combined with leisure travel.”
