Sydney Joins London To Support Delhi 2020 Bid 23/11/2007 |

PTI reports Sydney is joining London in providing expertise and support to a bid by Delhi for the 2020 Olympic Games, Premier of New South Wales, Australia Morris Iemma said Thursday.
The Premier said, “we are looking for a stronger relationship and friendship with India and will support Delhi’s bid for the Olympic Games”.
Iemma, in India leading a delegation from Australia to promote investment, business, tourism and education links with India, said if Delhi is successful in a bid Sydney would assist in organizing the event.
According to PTI while London could offer very contemporary support based on the London 2012 Games, Sydney could assist Delhi in working through “legacy issues”.
