The OCA Coordination Committee led by Mr. Manuel Silverio visited the City of Hanoi to assess the preparations with regard to the organization of the 3rd Asian Indoor Games in Vietnam. The Games are scheduled to be held in November 2009 and shall be held in the Cities of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh.

The Committee went into each detail and advised the Vietnam Asian Indoor Games Organizing Committee (VAIGOC) that spreading the games into different cities will increase the operational cost of the games and also VAIGOC will face different problems with regard to the transportation, security etc.

A total of 18 Sports and 206 events are scheduled to be held during the 3rd Asian Indoor Games with inclusion of three new disciplines Indoor Petanque, Womens Defence, Shuttle Cook, Pancak Silat and Vovinam. Jujitsu and Beltwrestling will be the demonstration events for the games. The CC has strongly recommended to include Indoor Cycling, E sports and Extreme Sports in the programme of the Games. A total of 12 sports will be held in the City of Hanoi and 6 in the City of Ho Chi Minh.

The OCA Coordination Committee consisted of Mr. Manuel Silverio, Chairman Media Committee, Mr. Wei Jizhong, Chairman Sports Committee, Dr. M. Jegathesan, Chairman Medical Committee, Mrs. Yuko Arakida, Chairwomen Athletes Committee, Ms. Isabel Da Silva Member Womens Committee, Mr. Haider Farman, Manager Asian Games Department, Mr. Vinod Kumar Tiwari Manager International & NOC Relations, Mr. Reza Charim Coordinator.
