Rugby World Cup 2011 launch IT and Telecommunications Tender 02/09/2008

Rugby World Cup Limited, in conjunction with Rugby New Zealand 2011 Limited, has begun the tender process for the information technology and telecommunication rights and services for IRB Rugby World Cup 2011.
The tender covers the requirements of the Tournament from the information technology and telecommunications perspectives, to include the provision of systems integration services, tournament information and management systems and a hardware requirement for the media centres and administrative offices.
In addition, the tender includes the provision of hosting and other services in relation to the official Tournament website and other IRB online properties. From the telecommunications perspective, the tender covers the areas of data and voice network provisioning, as well as mobile network systems and wired headset communication. The tender will close on October 31, 2008.
