FISU opens bidding for 2015 Universiades 11/09/2008 |

FISU has officially opened the bidding for the 2015 Winter and Summer Universiades.
The Winter Games are already attributed for 2009 (Harbin, China), 2011 (Erzurum, Turkey) and 2013 (Maribor, Slovenia), while Belgrade, Serbia; Shenzhen, China and Kazan, Russia will host the Summer editions of the Universiade in 2009, 2011 and 2013.
FISU says there is already strong interest from Hamburg, Germany as well as cities in Brazil, Poland and Korea for the 2015 Games.
Bidding Procedure Time Table
Phase 1: BIDDING
- Opening of the Bid : September 1st, 2008
- Letter of Intention submission : September 1st to October 15th, 2008
- Bidding conditions submission to cities : November 1st, 2008
- Bidding Dossier submission to FISU : March 15th, 2009
- Closing of the Bid : March 15th, 2009
Phase 2: EVALUATION
- Bidding Dossier Evaluation : March 15th to April 30, 2009
- Evaluation Committee visits : March 15th to April 30, 2009
- Final Evaluation Report Preparation : April 30th to May 29th, 2009
Phase 3: ATTRIBUTION
- Final Report presented to the FISU EC May 30th, 2009
- Bidding City presentations to the FISU EC : May 30th, 2009
- Attribution of the host city : May 30th, 2009
