Top-ranked Australia will proceed with this year's cricket tour of India after reviewing security following bomb blasts in New Delhi that killed 21 people.

Cricket Australia had sought advice after five blasts ripped through India's capital three days ago, lifting to more than 200 the death toll in terrorist attacks in the country during the past year.

``Our advice is that there are some concerns and to exercise caution, but currently they do not compromise the tour,'' Cricket Australia spokesman Peter Young said today in a statement on the Melbourne-based governing body's Web site.

Australia, seeking a third straight Test series win over India, is scheduled to depart Sept. 21 and play tuneup matches in Jaipur and Hyderabad. The first Test starts Oct. 9 in Bangalore before further Tests in Mohali, New Delhi and Nagpur.

The Australians in March pulled out of a tour of Pakistan because of security concerns and withdrew from the Champions Trophy, due to be held in Pakistan this month, for similar reasons. That tournament has since been postponed.

Separately, allrounder Andrew Symonds, who wasn't picked for the India tour last week, said he wants to fight his way back into the team.

Symonds was stood down for a one-day series against Bangladesh earlier this month after skipping a team meeting in order to go fishing. Chairman of selectors Andrew Hilditch said last week the 33-year-old was currently unavailable for selection and had entered a process with Cricket Australia to assess whether he's fully committed to the team.

``Hopefully I'll come out of it a better person and won't make these mistakes in the future,'' Symonds, who has averaged 77.70 with the bat in Tests during the past year, told reporters today. ``I'm looking forward to the challenge of taking up playing cricket again for my club, state and country.''
