Hoffmann starts top job at IHF 22/09/2008

Ekke Hoffmann one of Germany’s best known handball identities
has taken over the reins of the International Handball Federation (IHF).
Sixty-four-year-old Hoffmann who is best known as the trainer of Germany’s successful national women’s handball team was appointed to the position of Director of the IHF following the shock departure of Ms Hala Helmy.
Based at the IHF headquarters in Basle, Hoffmann’s first main task will be the organisation of next January’s Men’s World Championships in Croatia.
