Qatar to host World Diving Championship in 2009 24/09/2008 |

The Qatar Swimming Federation (QSF) was awarded rights to host the World Diving Championship by the Federation Internationale de Natation (FINA), on March 20 – 21, 2009.
The two–day world event will feature participation of world's best divers representing FINA.
QSF official - Mr. Youssif Ahmed Al Saae said that the swimming event in country's sport movement is an attempt to increase the activity amongst local clubs, where nine clubs will be involved, including, Al Sadd, Al Ahli, Qatar, Al Rayyan, Al Arabi, Al Khor, Al Wakrah, Al Shammal and Al Gharaffa.
