Sports Channel retains UEFA rights for Israel 29/09/2008

UEFA confirmed on Friday that it has concluded a media rights deal in Israel for the 2009-12 UEFA Champions League with its incumbent partner, The Sports Channel.
Rights
The broadcaster will show comprehensive coverage of the UEFA Champions League on its basic tier channel Sport 5 as well as on its pay channels Sport 5+ and 5+ Gold. Coverage will include three live matches each matchnight plus highlights, delayed games and the UEFA Champions League magazine programme. UEFA Champions League media rights for 2009-12 also cover the UEFA Super Cup in 2009, 2010 and 2011. The Sports Channel will also exploit the rights on the internet via sport5.co.il as well as on mobile.

Commenting on the award of these rights in Israel, UEFA said: "The Sports Channel is a long-standing partner of UEFA and we are delighted to announce the renewal of our successful relationship for a further three seasons. This agreement will ensure a fantastic level of exposure for the UEFA Champions League and we are confident that The Sports Channel will continue to excel in delivering the best of European club football to the people of Israel."
