Chinese Taipei Badminton Association and IEC in Sports have signed a long-term agreement to maximize the international broadcast of the USD125, 000 Yonex Chinese Taipei Open Grand Prix Gold Badminton event for the next four years.
The event, next scheduled for September 1-6 2009, is already confirmed to be telecast on a pan-Asian basis.
Highlights will also be included on "World of Badminton" the dedicated badminton TV magazine show, produced by IEC in Sports and aired across Asia and parts of Europe.
Yonex Chinese Taipei Open will also be streamed live on www.WoB.tv and available in all markets where live television broadcast is not scheduled.
“We see this cooperation through to 2012 offers the potential to expand badminton into new markets" said IEC in Sports CEO, Jonas Persson.
