At last year’s Soccerex Joseph S. Blatter (President, FIFA) commented that FIFA were breaking new ground by announcing Satyam as a global partner. Satyam, a leading global consulting and information technology services provider became the first Indian company to sign up as a FIFA World Cup Sponsor. This historic deal provides Satyam with global rights for the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa and the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
After securing the position as FIFA’s official IT services provider to the game's ruling body for the next seven years, Satyam have decided to continue their global exposure in the football industry by signing up as a Soccerex 2008 sponsor. Satyam will be the title sponsor for Soccerex’s Media Workshop, one of six sector-specific workshops taking place at the inaugural International Football Club Summit. The Satyam sponsored workshop will consist of a media-focused conference panel tackling the latest broadcasting developments, a keynote address from FIFA & Satyam on Web 2.0 and an exclusive networking break.
