Pix, the English movie channel from Multi Screen Media (formerly Sony Entertainment Television India), seems to be eyeing the sports viewers in India.
The channel has bagged the India telecast rights of the boxing event between Oscar De La Hoya, Olympic gold medalist and 10 times world champion, and Manny Pacman Pacquiao, current No.1 ranked champion.
Interestingly, the movie channel had previously bagged the telecast rights for the FA Cup.
Pix will air the boxing match live from MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada at 7.30 am on 7 December, followed by a repeat telecast on the same day at 10 pm.
