China Telecom becomes Prestige Partner of Guangzhou Asian Games 15/12/2008

China Telecommunications Corporation (China Telecom) signed an agreement with the Guangzhou Asian Games Organizing Committee (GAGOC) recently and became a Prestige Partner of the 16th Asian Games, providing Comprehensive Information Service. Xu Ruisheng, Executive Deputy Secretary General of GAGOC attended the signing ceremony.
China Telecommunications Corporation (China Telecom) is an extra-large state-owned telecom operator organized according to China's telecom industry reform scheme. As a principal telecom enterprise and the greatest basic telecom operator of China, China Telecom owns the global largest fixed-line telephone network that covers the cities and towns as well as the rural areas of China and penetrates to every corner of the world. Member units of China Telecom include 31 provincial (municipal and autonomous regional) enterprises which provide telecom services nationwide.
In the next two years,China Telecom will put forward a macrosolution for Asian Games informatization based on extensive operation and application, and offer Comprehensive Information Service for Asian Games in network、Asian Games Town's construction、sports events' infromation technology application and public propagand activity. China Telecom Plans to invest six hundred million to establish the most advanced integrated service network system with the most advanced high speed optical fiber for Asian Games Town and venues construction.
