The up-and-coming household utilities supplier TelDaFax is stepping up its sponsorship of winter sports considerably. Its extensive involvement now includes the title sponsorship for the new FIS Team Tour, and advertising presence at all alpine world cup events in Germany.
TelDaFax, an energy and communications company headquartered in Troisdorf in the Rhein-Sieg region, has considerably expanded its existing sport sponsorship activities, having agreed an extensive presence at the FIS Team Ski-Jumping Tour and all German Alpine Skiing World Cups for the next three years with SPORTFIVE, the marketing agent of the German Ski Association (DSV).
Among other things, TelDaFax will be the exclusive title sponsor of the FIS Team Tour, which premieres in February 2009. The tour, which determines the Team Tour Champion based on five world-championship level ski-jumping contests, ensures TelDaFax a high-attention advertising presence at the three event venues Willingen, Klingenthal and Oberstdorf.
In addition to the ski-jumping contests, TelDaFax has booked advertising measures at a variety of alpine skiing events, including 2009 in Garmisch-Partenkirchen and Ofterschwang, Garmisch-Partenkirchen 2010 and the world cup race in Zwiesel in 2011.
"Sport sponsorship has been an element in our corporate communications for several years," commented Klaus Bath, CEO of TelDaFax Holding AG. "Skiing, which peaks during football's winter break, ideally complements and intensifies our existing sponsoring partnerships in football, track and field and biathlon. This allows us to close the season communication gap and present the TelDaFax brand in an exclusive sports setting year-round."
Stefan Krauß, DSV's head of marketing, who is responsible for the cooperation with SPORTFIVE - called into being just this September - is also pleased: "Part of the rationale behind the cooperation between DSV and SPORTFIVE is to recruit new sponsors for winter sports. In the case of TelDaFax, we've succeeded in a very short time - an exceedingly positive development!"
"We are very pleased that TelDaFax, the main sponsor of Bayer 04 Leverkusen, is expanding its sponsorship presence in winter sports," said SPORTFIVE's managing director Philipp Hasenbein. "Ski jumping and alpine events open up other, new target groups for TelDaFax to address directly with its advertising presence."
As well as the electricity and gas offered via TelDaFax ENERGY, TelDaFax also sells inexpensive telecommunications tariffs (calling plans), internet products and travel. "These services will bring us close to our vision: TelDaFax aims to become the leading across-the-board supplier of services to households in Germany, while helping to lower or keep constant the overhead costs of private customers and small and medium-size businesses," says Klaus Bath. "As a vendor of household utilities, we see ourselves clearly on the consumers' side. Our rates show that it is in fact possible to offer high-quality services at fair terms."
