KiK Textilien und Non-Food GmbH has just secured its ticket to the handball world championship in Croatia. The textiles discounter will be on board as the DHB's new shirt sponsor when the reigning world champion defends its title against the world's best handball teams in Croatia. The shirt sponsorship negotiated by DHB's marketing agent SPORTFIVE was initially signed for the period leading up to the tournament and during the world cup.
KiK will make its debut on the shirts of the German handball team on 03 January in Minden and on 04 January in Kassel, when the men play Greece in what will be their last preparation in Germany for the challenges of the world cup.
"This sponsorship is an excellent opportunity to further build KiK's brand profile on international level as well," explains Aniko Nadine Kalle, press officer for KiK. "In the past few years, the players have shown what they are capable of and the atmosphere created by the handball fans is simply unique."
"We’re very familiar with KiK in connection with sports sponsorship thanks to their sponsorship of Bundesliga football," says Ulrich Strombach, President of the German Handball Federation. "We are delighted about this prominent addition to our world cup delegation, which will soon be on its way to Croatia."
