Abu Dhabi Investment Wants 40% Stake in AC Milan, Corriere Says 24/02/2009

The Abu Dhabi Investment Authority is ready to pay 500 million euros ($636 million) for a 40 percent stake in AC Milan SpA, the football team controlled by Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, daily Corriere della Sera reported, without saying where it got the information.
Berlusconi’s holding company Fininvest “in the last few hours” approved the start of talks, according to the Italian newspaper. Abu Dhabi Investment Authority also owns 5 percent of Berlusconi’s Mediaset SpA, Corriere reported.
