Gearhouse Broadcast to provide HD systems for ATP Masters
 09/03/2009

Broadcast solutions company Gearhouse Broadcast will provide high definition systems integration at the tennis event ATP World Tour Masters 1000, formerly ATP Masters Series, for ATP Media.

Gearhouse Broadcast has delivered the technical broadcast solution to the ATP Masters Series for eight years. For the first time in 2009, the entire 10 tournaments will be produced in high definition.

The solution delivered by Gearhouse Broadcast employs high definition flyaway’s consisting of audio and video routing, distribution, communication, CCU and a monitor gallery. The flyaway’s are configured at Gearhouse Broadcast’s UK headquarters prior to arriving on site and are then integrated with other key elements of the broadcast facility and are installed by the Company’s specialist Project Engineers.

The main elements in the system are Sony HDC 1500, Sony HDC 3300 Super Motion cameras, Pro-Bel 288 x 512 HD/SDI router, Sony MVS 8400 vision mixers, Riedel communications systems and Harris glue.

Gearhouse Broadcast will be on the road with ATP Masters 1000, a series of nine tournaments, which starts on 9 March in Indian Wells and journeys through Miami, Monte Carlo, Rome, Madrid, Montreal, Cincinnati, Shanghai and Paris and concludes with the ATP World Finals in London late November.
