Total Sports Asia (TSA) announced a deal struck with the Premier League for the new media (mobile and internet clips) rights for Indonesia in a deal covering the 2008/9 season and the 2009/10 season.
TSA will be working with technology enabler Mo.Ad Tech to help deploy the mobile content in the territory to the millions of fans that follow the Barclays Premier League in Indonesia. Indonesian residents can now have constant updates on match highlights, goal alerts, video clips and news stories via 3G and broadband internet.
Senior Vice President, Media, Julian Jackson commented: “The deal has taken quite a long time to put together due to a number of changing factors in the region, not least the current financial climate, but we persevered and always believed in the viability of the excellent new media content that the Premier League produces. We are particularly very grateful for the professional and ultimately very helpful way that the Media team at the Premier League helped us get the deal completed”
Head of Media Operations at the Premier League, Paul Molnar stated “Having worked with Total Sports Asia before, we are confident they will put together a compelling proposition that further promotes the Barclays Premier League in a country that has such a large and fanatical following of our competition."
