UEFA has awarded the 2009-12 UEFA Champions League and UEFA Super Cup 2009, 2010, 2011 media rights in the USA and Caribbean to Fox Sports International.
New deal
This new deal will see Fox Sports International broadcasting comprehensive coverage of the competition on Fox Soccer Channel, Fox Sports Net, Fox Sports en Español, and FX throughout the 2009-12 seasons. The broadcaster will deliver an unprecedented number of live and prime time delayed matches from the competition to audiences in the region as well as highlights programmes and the weekly magazine programme.
Additional coverage
The agreement with Fox Sports International also allows for Setanta Sports to provide significant additional coverage of the competition in the form of live and delayed matches and highlights programmes. From season 2009-10, football fans in the USA and Caribbean will also be able to follow the best European club football on the Internet via the Fox Soccer Channel and Setanta Sports websites as well as on mobile.
