Soccerex, the organisation responsible for the business of world football has chosen fabric_frame® from Icon as the visual backdrop for media interviews and staging at its international forums. With only days to go before the organisation’s inaugural event in Brazil last month, David Wright, marketing director at Soccerex approached Icon about the provision of a suitable visual backdrop for the event.

Wright explained; “We needed an interview backdrop for our Brasilia Forum that was both lightweight and mobile and would stand up under the glare of the international media. We saw the product in London and were impressed by the ease and speed of assembly. Icon assured us they could provide the necessary printed fabric panels bearing the logo wall in time for our tight deadline and they did.” He continued; “We were not disappointed, it’s a great product that was delivered on time and then easily assembled in Brasilia by our team. With over 800 delegates from 40 different countries it was vital that the event went smoothly and the fabric_frame® backdrop reflected the high quality and standards of our organisation.”

The final wall measured 3 x 2m and was used to display a wall of logo bricks. Soccerex plans to utilise the frame and existing fabrics at its forthcoming London football business forum being held at Wembley in May. Longer term new fabric panels will be printed for use with the frame at events in South Africa surrounding the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

fabric_frame® is a versatile display system which can be used as an exhibition, hospitality or conference backdrop, and a range of other applications for all kinds of corporate or retail events. The non-reflective finish also makes the system ideal for press conference backdrops and other media and TV applications. Once printed the fabric is displayed in easy-to-assemble aluminium frames which can measure up to 12m x 3m, enabling the construction of a large format, seamless panel. Additional options include a lightweight “flag” and transparent fabrics.
